Rites of Passage “e-Course”
Women’s Ways Mystery School and its Rites of Passage “e-Course” are affiliated with Moonfire Meeting House. The Mystery School provides a genuinely empowering, exceptionally focused and highly experiential body of work devoted to honoring the eternal, universal, sacred and earthly essence of the Beauty and Power of Woman. It offers workshops, circles, spiritual trainings, retreats, and initiations rooted in Feminine Spirit and the Earth.
Through its multi-cultural orientation, The Mystery School:
* shows woman how to access, reclaim and utilize the secrets of Life and the mysteries of the Feminine.
* establishes a sense of wholeness in mind, body, soul and spirit.
* trains women in the use of ritual, spiritual practice, circle protocol, personal processing, and Compassionate Communication.
* realigns women with their primary relationship to the elements, seasonal influences and the transformational quality of energy.
* provides women with the experience of Moon Ceremony, in the tradition of an ancient order of women called Sisters of the Violet Flame, and the most intimate of women’s ceremonies, Rites of Passage Ceremony and Initiation.
Rites of Passage
Rites of Passage are part of the forgotten legacy of every woman. The vibration a woman carries forward into her life from her Rites of Passage awakens within her the recognition of self, place and purpose, which may otherwise have remained dormant through out her life. In the ancient times, it was customary for women of many cultures and societies throughout the world to undergo and be celebrated in Rites of Passage. In these various ceremonies, initiates were blessed in order to take on the sacred responsibilities of the feminine, and acknowledged for their individual talents.
After their initiation, they were educated to be influential governors, esteemed counselors, respected healers, innovative thinkers, consummate herbalists, spiritual leaders and community builders. This was a part of their legacy as mothers, wives and warriors. In formal temples and mystery schools, they were instructed by initiated craftswomen, or informally instructed by revered clanswomen and grandmothers.
Rites of Passage Ceremony at Women’s Ways Mystery School
The Mystery School’s Rites of Passage Ceremony is a most empowering experience, born of fire and water, earth and air. When a woman, of any age, walks through the willow arch, as her antediluvian grandmothers did, she claims her wholeness and power. She leaves behind her past with its childlike misconceptions of the feminine, She awakens to her authenticity, and no longer needs to relinquish her control and authority to someone or something outside of her Self.
She then steps into a new beginning - free to re-member who she truly is and capable of creating an empowered future based on her true strengths, compassion, receptivity and vulnerability. When she emerges from the waters of initiation and speaks her name, she takes back her true voice, With this voice she reclaims herself as:
* a vessel of beauty
* a conduit of power
* an instrument of peace and harmony
and the womanly expression of the Sacred Feminine in the world
Like the lackluster raw ruby, barely resembling the luminous jewel it will become after it is faceted, a woman’s untapped feminine potential awaits to be awakened by Rites of Passage, so, like the ruby, the light within her can be released into the world.
The Rites of Passage “e-Course”
The Rites of Passage “e-Course” is the newest program offered by the Mystery School. It accommodates women of all ages from around the world and around the corner who want to experience this unique Ceremony by having them prepare for their Rites of Passage at home. This nine-moon program e-Course allows girls and women to be educated in the art and science of the feminine and encourages them to access their own inner knowledge through personal experience.
It’s intention weaves the teachings of Women’s Ways into the occasional communal gathering, monthly on-line meetings, ongoing private mentoring, and continual email correspondence, to produce a sisterhood of deeply committed women – women who are ready to undertake this most intimate step in reclaiming the promise of their birthright.
These teachings are presented in the style of esoteric mystery schools and oral traditions. Following these ancient traditions of empowered learning, women re-member who they truly are, walk their talk, learn to celebrate the uniqueness of their feminine spirit and reclaim their heritage as healers, teachers, innovators and leaders in the world.
The Rites of Passage “e-Course” Overview:

* Rites of Passage Ceremony in New York in September, 2006 – additional dates and locations TBA
* over 150 hours of in-depth instruction from teachers with a decade or more of experience in the wisdom traditions of Women’s Ways. These women are graduates of the Mystery School and committed to your success and expansion, and all that you offer to the world.
* peer and teacher support before, during and after Rites of Passagee to assist in bonding and the integration process.
* tuition + the occasional materials fee (discounted for women and their daughters) With generous payment plans are available upon request.
